Ohio School District Story: Re-Designing Parent-Teacher Conferences

During the 2022-23 school year, Centerville City Schools assembled a task force and decided to work specifically on improving their parent-teacher conferences. They conducted meetings with families they felt like they did not have good connection with yet, and the input from families was used to simplify their core beliefs and re-design their conferences.  They worked hard to improve upon a traditional family engagement practice. Below you can see two documents representing some of their work: an infographic for their teachers with 6 steps to run a great conference with a family, and a list of core values guiding their work.
