A five-month leadership program that is designed to empower parents and caregivers to be leaders for education.
Participants will experience:
– Online learning modules with independent assignments.
– Virtual meetings with peers.
– In-person gatherings in Columbus, Ohio.
– A school project, developed and implemented by participant.
– Parents and caregivers of children enrolled in a K-12 Ohio public school.
– Ideal for individuals who want to make a difference in their local school communities.
– Open to anyone that is newly involved in their school or actively involved.
– In-person sessions are hosted in Columbus, Ohio.
– Learning modules and additional meetings are online to provide flexibility.
– To build leadership skills that help families collaborate with school officials and community stakeholders.
– To give participants the tools to identify and address local educational needs through practical, school-based projects.
– To foster a supportive network of family leaders across Ohio who champion positive change in education.
This program is grant funded and is offered at no cost to families.
– Attend all in-person and online meetings.
– Finish all seminar assignments.
– Design and implement final project.
– Share results of project with our center.
