Lisa M. Hunt serves as the Family Engagement Specialist for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City Schools. As a proud alumnus, with two sons who are also graduates of Heights Schools, she is passionate about both the community and the school district she serves. Hunt is also honoured to currently serve as board president of the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities. In addition to the work of building stronger family-school partnerships, Hunt also leads a Family Engagement Task Force and co-leads the District’s Equity Task Force. She is also a proud member of several other District Task Forces and committees including Strategic Planning, Grading and Discipline. In 2018, Hunt and colleague Keith Langford from Shaker Heights City Schools established the FACE Collaborative, a professional learning community for local practitioners. Hunt received her Master’s in Nonprofit Administration and Leadership from Cleveland State University, where she also minored in contemporary dance. The words “faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen” guides her daily in work and life. In her spare time, she is learning the acoustic guitar and still continues to dance.
