Krista Miller is the principal at Metro Early College Middle School in Columbus, Ohio. Together with her team, Krista oversaw the expansion of the middle school from 120 students to 360 students, and this is her 7th year leading the middle school. Krista began her teaching career working for Lima Senior High School as a math teacher, then transitioned to Metro Early College High School, the first STEM school in Ohio, to teach math, science, and engineering courses. Krista is invested in ensuring the tenets of STEM learning, as well as mastery-based and personalized learning practices, are educational practices foundational to the middle school. Krista is committed to excellence in education and passionate about sharing the ‘Metro Way’ with others; her goal is to rethink traditional education and create a school environment that is an inclusive, holistic community where all students are successful.
