Individual Professionals Path: Level 3, Option 5

The focus of this specialty seminar is to provide educators with a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing student attendance and the strategies to improve attendance through effective family engagement. Participants will discover the complexities of student engagement and barriers to attendance and learn how to establish partnerships with families to support consistent school attendance. The seminar is delivered in a flipped instructional model. You will first complete one self-paced online module to build your background knowledge related to family engagement to support student attendance. Then you will join an instructor-led online workshop session to apply knowledge to your setting and collaborate with other learners.
