Kristy Gillfillan has been a family representative on the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center’s Advisory Council since January. Professionally, she is a Service and Support Administrator for the Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities where she assists families of school-age children
with navigating life when you have a child affected by a disability.
Kristy is known by the administration in every school district in Hardin County, Ohio
because of her professional role but is excited to dig in deeper as a family
representative on the Advisory Council. She is able to provide a unique perspective as a parent of three children with very different needs and school experiences. These have included homeschooling, general
education in the public school district of residence, career-tech school, and special
education placement in a neighboring district.
