Alexandra Nardo is the Family and Children Community Coordinator in the Office of Integrated Student Supports at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. In this role, she oversees the Department’s family and community engagement initiatives, including working in partnership with the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center at the Ohio State University to facilitate the Family Engagement Center grant from the US Department of Education. In addition to family engagement, Alexandra administers the federal education provisions for students in foster care.
Prior to coming to the Department, Alexandra was a teacher for five years in both Columbus, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois, teaching early childhood education, kindergarten and first grade. She completed teacher certification coursework at Dominican University in Illinois and holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and public affairs from Ohio State University.
