Purpose of the Money Talks Workshop:​

Parents and caregivers have a powerful influence on their child’s financial habits and future financial well-being, but many parents and caregivers are not sure where to start.


The Money Talks Parent Workshop was created to help families learn about steps they can take to build financial literacy together through open conversations and hands-on activities.

Workshop Details:

  • Format: Designed for in-person delivery
  • Duration: Recommended 60 minutes (customizable to fit your needs)

Objectives of the Money Talks Workshop:
After participating in the Money Talks Workshop parents will:

1. Gain a deeper understanding of their critical role in their child’s financial education and the importance of building a strong foundation for financial literacy.

2. Identify resources and activities they can use to help their child learn about money and to discuss financial topics.

3. Feel confident and prepared to discuss finances with their child and to help them learn about financial topics.

Your Commitment
This workshop was created to equip families with information that supports their child’s education. By accessing these materials, you agree to:

  • Facilitate at least one Money Talks workshop.
  • Adapt the materials to meet the needs of your specific context and the families you serve.
  • Complete the Facilitator Survey at the end of each workshop you deliver.
  • Distribute the Participant Survey to families at the conclusion of each workshop.
  • Receive email updates from our team, including support and progress check-ins as you plan or host a workshop.
