Through a series of four engaging, self-paced modules, this seminar equips youth-serving out-of-school-time professionals with the expertise to implement high-quality, evidence-based strategies to engage families in their programs. Topics and content include foundations of family engagement, building relationships with families, specialized learning focuses, and developing a multi-tiered family engagement plan.

- I can explain why family engagement matters and why families choose to engage.
- I can develop informal leadership skills to reframe the conversation about family engagement within my spheres of influence.
- I can describe the roles for families in multi-tiered family engagement.
- I can identify strategies and resources to engage families in a selected area of specialized focus.
- I can describe different tiers of support for family engagement.
- I can create a multi-tiered family engagement plan to support students and families in identified sub-groups.
Outcome: The outcome of this seminar is to create a multi-tiered plan for family engagement to support student learning and development in your out-of-school time program.

Registration: Seminar registration open September 1 – May 30. Seminar must be completed by June 30. Once approved, participants have four weeks to complete seminar.
