At the Reading Tips for Families website, families of children birth through elementary school can find helpful tips and activities to encourage your children to become successful readers. In addition to helpful tips, you can also read about research, review key terms related to how kids learn to read in the “glossary” section, and read what other families do to encourage their children to be successful and happy readers. The Reading Tips for Families website was jointly developed by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s literacy experts and the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
