“Parent and Youth Ambassadors are people in your area who can help you, your family, or kids find answers and get the help you need close to home. You can ask for help before, during, or after a hard time. It does not cost any money to get help from them, and they are here to support you whenever you need it.”
There are 15+ ambassadors around the state of Ohio, which is coordinated by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth. They work in Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association offices.
Examples of how they can help:
– any kind of need you or your family might have
– if you need help feeding your baby
– if you need help finding childcare for a child with special needs
– if your child needs help from different programs
– housing or utilities needs
They will not go to meetings or other places with you, but they will help answer your questions, connect you to resources, and offer coordination of support.
