First, register to attend the summit! The ticket price is $225. Unfortunately, we cannot offer group rates.
Next, make sure you have Zoom downloaded on your computer, tablet, or phone before the Summit begins. You can download it for free here. We recommend updating to the latest version to avoid any issues on the day of the event!
Finally, the morning of Day 1 and Day 2, our center will email you a passcode to login to the Summit webpage with the full schedule and links to join sessions!
Each morning of the Summit, we’ll email you a passcode to log into the Summit webpage. From there, you’ll pick the session you want to attend for each time block. On the day of the event, just click the “Join Session” button!
No need to pre-register for individual sessions.
To help everything run smoothly, please join on time and keep your microphone muted when you enter the room or when you’re not speaking.
We are encouraging presenters to provide their materials and handouts one week in advance to our team, so that we can put the materials on our summit webpage. Each session’s description will have a link to any submitted session materials. Links to materials may also be shared in the chat by the session moderators.
Yes! Your registration includes six months of access to our Members Library, where you can watch Summit session recordings and download materials anytime.

The Summit is a premier learning event that connects you with leading researchers, experts, and impactful family and community engagement strategies. Year after year, participants tell us this is the best online conference they attend—high-quality, insightful, and more affordable than many other virtual events.
For the first five years, we were able to offer the Summit through federal Statewide Family Engagement Center grant funds and other support. These grants helped us build a world-class conference serving educators, researchers, families, and community partners across all 50 states and several countries.
To ensure the Summit continues to thrive and provide valuable resources, we are now requesting a modest registration fee. This allows us to sustain the event while expanding our efforts—offering innovative supports, tailored tools, and new learning opportunities to empower more families and educators.
Our commitment remains strong: to deliver the highest-quality professional learning and resources that strengthen family-school partnerships for every student. Your participation directly helps us preserve and grow this invaluable experience for the future.
There are two federal funding sources schools receive under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) that can be used to pay for your registration fee: Title I – Part A and Title II.
Title I – Part A: If professional learning, like The Ohio Family Engagement Leadership Summit is consistent with school plans, then registration is an allowable use.
Title II: If growing knowledge of evidence-based family engagement practice aligns to a broader professional learning plan for a teacher, then registration is an allowable use.
Yes! Everyone registered for the Summit will receive free access to recordings and materials of all sessions for six months.
In the past, we’ve welcomed participants from nearly every state and received excellent feedback from them. Based on that experience and our careful planning for the Summit, we’re confident that the session content will be highly relevant—no matter where you’re joining from!
As part of our commitment to supporting deeper engagement during the Summit, we’re offering a breakout room opportunity for statewide family engagement centers outside of Ohio after each day’s sessions: 3:00pm-4:00pm EST.
We understand that due to time zones the Summit may begin/end earlier in your day. To support continued conversation and connection, we can provide a dedicated Zoom room for your team to use immediately after the Summit sessions conclude.
Here’s how it would work:
- You’ll receive a separate Zoom link for the post-Summit discussion space.
- Within that meeting, we’ll create breakout rooms by state or region
- Your team can use the space to reflect, debrief, or connect with other attendees in your state.
- The conversation will be self-led, and we’re happy to offer guiding questions or materials if helpful.
Additionally, all Summit sessions will be recorded, so your team can revisit them and use them for ongoing professional development or future discussions.
